Natural Ledge Stone

Consider the superior look and feel of natural stone.

Big Sky Masonry operates several choppers ranging in size from a small portable unit that can be towed to chop on-site or larger units fixed close to major sources of stone.

All of our ledge materials can be sized to be consistent or varied thin/thick with large stones forming "jumpers" which are stones with a larger face ranging to a height spanning several layers.

Ledge Type Stone Look

Ledge stone can be laid up in a series of thin layers or varied with medium to large "jumpers" creating different looks and "feels".

Chopped Ledge Stone

Our blue-streaked chopped ledge stone is very hard and will hold up under any weathering conditions. Its unique blue streak gives an unusually appealing texture from close up.

Shapes are sized for a 6" minus bed depth and range from a thin 1" thickness to 12" height by up to 48" long. Occasional large "jumpers" improve the look.

Combine ledge stone wall layups with matching interior fireplace, hearth and mantle produces an integrated and professional project.
